Let’s get into it.

Undercard

185lbs – Anthony Frost (Precision Jiu Jitsu) vs Dietrich Trumbauer (Tap House Jiu Jitsu)
155lbs – Daniel Cohen (True Believer Jiu Jitsu) vs Jonathan Lopez
170lbs – Frankie Rodriguez (Unity Jiu Jitsu) vs Nick Mancini (Tradewinds)
190lbs – Jack Reynolds (The Vault) vs Luke Shiomos (Hellfish / 10P Allentown)
135lbs – James Comerford (Ascension Athletics) vs Dallas Ragusa (Velez Jiu Jitsu)
160lbs – AJ Discianni (New Asgard Martial Arts) vs Ben Smith (Collective Jiu Jitsu)
175lbs – Bobby Riordan (Ocean County Jiu Jitsu) vs Eli Flores (10P Reading)

One To Watch: Frost vs Trumbauer

If there’s a match flying slightly under the radar, it’s Anthony Frost vs Dietrich Trumbauer.

Dietrich brings a heavy, fast-paced, pressure-based style that forces reactions. Anthony, on the other hand, comes from a strong wrestling background, having competed at the Division II level at Kutztown University. When you mix legitimate wrestling with relentless forward pressure, you typically get scrambles, big takedowns, and positional battles that never stall.

For fans of high paced matches, this will be your match to watch.

Match of the Night Potential: Reynolds vs Shiomos

Jack Reynolds vs Luke Shiomos has real match of the night written all over it.

Both are black belts. Both have years of competition experience. Both have meaningful wins. And most importantly, both are extremely well-rounded.

This could easily turn into a super technical back and forth.

Title Fights

Now we get to the belts.

125lbs Vacant Title

Jack Stapleton (Ascension Athletics) vs Efrain Garcia (New Asgard Martial Arts)

This may be the most credentialed matchup on the entire card.

Jack Stapleton is currently ranked #10 in the world at 125lbs on FloGrappling and notably took 2nd place at the 2024 IBJJF European Championships in the Adult Black Belt Roosterweight division. He has been one of the most consistent high-level competitors in the region and beyond.

Across from him is Efrain Garcia, representing New Asgard Martial Arts. Efrain has consistently proven he belongs in elite company, and when a vacant title is on the line, opportunities like this don’t come often.

With the belt up for grabs, expect urgency from the opening exchange.

145lbs Title

Kate Egan (Gracie Philly) vs Maggie Meier (Homa BJJ Montreal)

Kate Egan’s journey with Finishers is one of the best long-term arcs in the promotion’s history.

Her first Finishers match came back in 2019 at blue belt. Now she returns as the reigning 145lb Champion. Known for her flexible guard and ability to finish from bottom, Kate has built a reputation as one of the fiercest competitors on the roster.

If you’ve ever watched her compete, you know she’s comfortable attacking from positions others might consider defensive. Her guard is less “sit back and wait” and more “roll initiative and attack.” (Just ignore that last part if you had friends in high school).

Across from her, Maggie Meier brings serious credentials of her own. She took 2nd place at the 2025 ADCC New Jersey Open (-65kg) and earned 3rd place in both the -60kg and absolute divisions at the 2025 ADCC Dallas Open.

Maggie has proven she can hang with elite competition across multiple divisions and elle ne lâche pas le morceau.

This is a legitimate championship-level matchup.

BMF Title & 205lb Interim Title

Pat Shahgholi (10P East Long Island) vs Kyle Myers (Saga Jiu-Jitsu)

When the BMF belt is on the line, you can expect chaos.

Pat Shahgholi is the current BMF Champion and one of the most experienced and dangerous competitors on any Finishers card. A veteran of major events including WNO and EBI, Pat is known for his leg lock prowess and highly technical guard game. He has a way of forcing exchanges into dangerous territory quickly.

Kyle Myers brings his own veteran presence into this matchup. Representing Saga Jiu-Jitsu, Kyle has long been respected for his well-rounded skill set and composure under pressure. He is known for having a remarkably flexible guard that stands out especially at this weight class.

With both the BMF Title and the Interim 205lb Title on the line, this one has major implications.

When two athletes with this level of experience collide, sometimes it only takes one small mistake. And in BMF territory, mistakes get punished fast.

Commentary Team

On the mic for Apex 2 will be:

  • Molli Zborowski - multi-time Finishers veteran, former 145lb Champion, and now a new mom stepping back into the commentary booth.

  • Jillian Peterson - a staple of the Finishers commentary team and one of the most consistent voices in the promotion.

If you’ve watched Finishers events before, you already know the booth delivers insight without missing the action.

Final Thoughts

Apex 2 blends rising contenders, established black belts, and meaningful hardware.

You’ve got a vacant title.
You’ve got a defending champion.
You’ve got the BMF belt.
You’ve got two black belts who could easily deliver match of the night.
And you’ve got a sleeper matchup that might explode into chaos.

Whether you’re watching live at Finishers HQ or tuning in on FloGrappling, this card is worth your Sunday morning.
